Mckayla Maroney Wants To Be Angelina Jolie

U.S Olympic gymnast Mckayla Maroney opens up to CNN about her acting passion.

"I've always wanted to be an actress ... Ever since I was very little, I really liked being in front of a camera. I've always been drawn to it and I've always wanted to pursue it, just like gymnastics.It's something that you kind of put in your brain and you never let go of. "

The 16 year old gymnast says that she plans to move on acting after she ends her gymnastics career.

"after it's all said and done with the Olympics and Worlds and whatever I get the chance to do, I think that would be my time to really get into acting, something that I want to have as my job when I'm older," 

But the two time Olympic medalist isn't waiting for the end of her gymnastics career to start out in the acting  world, she already had her agent get her an opportunity to appear on CW's Hart Of Dixies as well in ABC's Pretty Little Lairs.

Maroney's idol is Oscar winning actress Angelina Jolie, citing "Salt" as her favorite movie.

 "I'm kind of more into movies, because I'm really into getting into [character] and being that person and selling it as well as she always does."

In the near future, Maroney plans to go back to her gym and train hard for Rio after she heals up.
