Just like Britain's Beth Tweddle, Italia's Vanessa Ferrari takes her words back and announces her desire to continue in the sport
Ferrari wants to continue doing elite gymnasts but she wants guarantees from the Italian Gymnastics Federation. While some of gymnasts on the national team prefer to appear on MTV like teammate Carlotta Ferlitto, Vanessa Ferrari asks for help to be able to continue in the sports.
Had Vanessa won an Olympic medal, she would have been promoted in the army. Along with her boyfriend Andrea, they are searching for an apartment between Brescia and Meda. A paid rent for the two athletes could solve the problem
Ferrari was among the three gymnasts who were denied a chance to win an Olympic medal due to the tie breaking rule. She is also the 2006 World all around champion.
I don't understand the unnecessary reference to the teammates of Federal Technical Center of Milan, which entered MTV cameras. Carlotta Ferlito appears to be the second Italian gymnast at the time (just after Vanessa Ferrari), so the presence of cameras in the gym didn't affect her performance. She and the other Italian gymnasts are not guests on TV, they are just shooting from the cameras while doing their workouts. That program has made popular among young Italians a sport that before was not. Italian teens are happy about this and gymnastic is gaining popularity from this. Theoretically, in this way will be purchased new equipment, especially in the south where you often can not exercise because the tools are broken and gyms inadequate. Maybe then the uneven bars will not fall on head coaches anymore (as happened precisely to Carlotta Ferlito, when she was only 7-8 years, "traumatizing her"). The gymnasts of Technical Centre of Milan were not treated as 'VIP', they do NOT receive money in exchange for participation at docu-reality, and do not ask for a house because they live in a hotel. Carlotta Ferlito has left her family (exacly) on the opposite side of the country at 12 years to train, and moved to Milan alone; Vanessa Ferrari instead has always lived with her family, without ever having to move, and now wants to live with her boyfriend in a convenient place for both. I do not think it's appropriate to make comparisons. Two careers, two lives, two very different experiences. Since the docu-reality exists gymnasts are exposed to even more critical, 90% of which are directed to Ferlito who, because of her strong character, never goes unnoticed. I think that at least the world of gymnastic should give respect and reassurance to her, who is only 17 anyway.
