Yelena Zamolodchikova "Mckayla Maroney Deserved The Silver Medal"

Former gymnast Yelena Zamolodchikova called London's all around judges objective on how her compatriots Aliya Mustafina and Viktoria Komova were judged at the all around final.

Olympic vault bronze medalist Maria Paseka said that she deserved the silver medal over American Mckayla Maroney who fell on her second vault but on the contrary the 2000 Olympic vault champion believes that Maroney wasn't overscored therefor deserved the silver medal over Paseka despite falling on her second vault.

"In artistic gymnastics one should pay attention not only to the final mark, but also to difficulty, execution, and start value. I admit that considering these details it was worth for the American girl to receive the silver. I saw her performances before the Olympics and I can say that she was a potential contender for the title. The vault she did is very hard and even often men do not do it ."

Zamolodchikova called the results of the Russian team in London "True Success" especially after their failure in Beijing . Yelena added that the team's performance wasn't a gold medal worthy as in order to win gold they had to be perfect but instead they made mistakes.

"Others at that particular stage were more powerful and prepared. Our gymnasts just lacked experience"

Yelena Zamolodchikova is four time Olympic medalist, she is 2 time world vault champion as well as the 2000 Olympic vault champion. Zamo is also the 2000 Olympic floor champion.
