Jordyn Wieber Serious About 2013

At the time Gabby Douglas' coach "Chow" announced that Gabby won't be competing in 2013, Jordan Wieber's coach "John Geddert said that Jordan is seriously considering competing next year.

John Geddert announced that the reigning World champion contacted him last Friday via Facebook on his birthday informing him that she’s ready to resume serious training, with sights set on the U.S. Championships in August.

Wieber who was the favorite to win the all around Olympic gold medal, faced disappointment when she failed to qualify to the all around final due to two per country rule as she qualified in fourth place behind her teammates Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman. But it looks like Wieber doesn't want to end her career at this point.

Geddert heavily implied after the Olympics that London will be Wieber's last competition when he expressed concerns over Jordyn’s age and body type saying that gymnastics is a sport for girls not for women "Like it or not, this is a little girl's sport, not a women's sport, and the little girls are going to prevail. Their bodies get off the ground better. You don't have to deal with curves."

Geddert expressed happiness over Wieber's intention  “One step at a time of course, but what a great birthday present. Have to say I am a bit geeked about this….”.
