Romania's Sandra Izbasa To Retire?

Romania's Sandra Izbasa announced that she is seriously thinking of ending her career after having an almost perfect year in 2012.

The 22 year old gymnast told dolce-sport.ro that this year has been almost perfect for her as she won a gold medal in London on an event she hadn't expected to win on, she also won two gold medals at this year's Europeans " I am very glad I managed to fulfill my goals, I am also glad that i managed to recover from a small injury which i had last February. I would had never wanted to miss the Olympics after all the hard work I have done" said Izbasa.

Izbasa who is back in the gym training for upcoming galas said she wants to dedicate her life to her family “It’s not about that I’m not felling respected, literally there isn't any motivation left. I’m not saying that I’m old, for gymnastics I mean, but like I said, I want to dedicate myself to my family, because I’ve spend 10 years away from them, and as long as they are still alive, I wish to be close to them.”

Sandra Izbasa is a winner of four Olympic medals including two golds, she is also the winner of 12 medals in which she won at European championships.
